All pupils are expected to wear school uniform.  This helps the pupils acquire a sense of identity and in so doing improves the school ethos and supports school discipline.  All clothes worn or brought to school should be clearly marked with the pupil’s name.

The school uniform colours are royal blue, white and grey with black shoes. Please note that uniform can only be ordered online from Brenda's school wear. It is not centrally stocked in their store. Water bottles and sun hats can be purchased directly from the school office.

Please note: There is a second hand uniform shop located in the Langrish school foyer which is open to all of our families. There are no set prices for pieces of clothing, but a donation can be made via the donation box should you wish to do so.

All children entitled to pupil premium funding (sometimes known as 'free school meals' ) should contact the school office to place their order which will be fully funded.

Items in bold below have a school logo and should be purchased through our suppliers, Brenda’s. Other items may be available from Brenda’s but can be purchased elsewhere without a logo.

 Infant  Winter / Summer Uniform

• School royal blue V-neck sweatshirt or cardigan with school logo
• White short-sleeved polo shirt (optional school logo shirt available through Brenda's) 
• Grey short or long trousers (plain uniform style without adornment)
• Grey skirt or pinafore dress
• Blue and white checked summer dress
• Grey, black or white socks or tights
• Black shoes (not trainers)
• Waterproof coat 
• School scrunchie / elastics in school colours (all hair accessories should be discreet)

KS2  Winter / Summer Uniform

• School royal blue V-neck sweatshirt or cardigan with school logo
• White short or long sleeved cotton shirt
• School tie (elasticated version available for children in Lower Key Stage Two only)
• Grey short or long trousers (plain uniform style without adornment)
• Grey skirt or pinafore dress
• Blue and white checked summer dress
• Grey, black or white socks or tights
• Black shoes (not trainers)
• Waterproof coat
• School scrunchie / elastics in school colours (all hair accessories should be discreet)

Bags

• KS1 Infant Backpack (bag with logo available through Brenda's but is optional)
• KS2 Junior Backpack (bag with logo available through Brenda's but is optional)

     NB: Pupils' bags must be small enough to fit into the class designated cloakroom area.

PE Kit

• School royal blue t-shirt with small logo
• Black or navy PE shorts
• Black or navy PE hoodie (optional school hoodie with logo available through Brenda's) 
• Trainers for outdoor games (not black plimsolls)
• Black or navy jogging trousers / leggings  may be worn in winter for outdoor games
• An additional pair of socks should be provided for PE

Swimming (KS2 only)

• One piece swimming costume for girls
• Lycra swim shorts for boys
•  Silicone swim cap
• Named towel
• Goggles (if desired)

Jewellery

With the exception of traditional watches, no jewellery is to be worn in school.  Those with pierced ears may wear discreet gold or silver stud earrings.  If earrings are worn, pupils must remove them for PE and swimming lessons.  Those who unable to do this should not wear them on PE or swimming days. All jewellery must be removed for P.E. lessons.

In line with Hampshire policy, in exceptional circumstances, newly pierced ears may be covered with micropore tape for the duration of a P.E. lesson. This tape must be applied by parents or the child themselves. If at any time, the tape becomes loose and the back stud visible, the pupil will immediately take on the role of officiating or leading coaching in that particular lesson to ensure their own safety and that of all other pupils.

This exception to wearing jewellery for P.E. will only be allowed for the first four weeks of newly pierced ears.

Please advise the Headteacher in writing if other jewellery is to be worn because of cultural, religious or medical reasons.

Nail Polish

All nail polish must be removed on school days. The children can wear nail polish on non-uniform days.

Hair

Hair must be tied back if it is longer than shoulder length. This is for both boys and girls. Hair accessories must be in school colours and small in nature. Scrunchies are available in the second hand uniform shop.

We suggest that hair should not be cut any shorter than Grade 2. Hair dye and colour in hair are not permitted on school uniform days. These can be used on mufti or charity days. Hairstyles which are extreme, which includes hairstyles where the sides are much shorter than the top / back or where lines and patterns are shaved into the hair are not recommended.
