Swimming: personal survival

As the culmination of the Year 6 swimming programme, the children take their pyjamas to the pool and participate in a number of drills. They are taught to use floating debris as buoyancy aids, to practise floating and skulling to conserve energy and to swim with their heads above water to keep track of their environment.
