Key dates
PE day: Monday
Forest School: Wednesday.
Please ensure your child comes to school wearing their full PE kit on both days, including a PE T-shirt, shorts or joggers, and a hoodie. If your child wears earrings, please remove these for PE days or provide earring tape for them to use during PE lessons if they have recently been pierced.
Forest school: Forest school continues on Wednesday. Please ensure waterproofs and wellies are in on or before this day.
Home learning
Reading (10 minutes per day)
Please read with your child every day for approximately 10 minutes.
We collect reading records every Friday and check the comments that are put in them (comments must be recorded at least 3 times a week please).
Children can change their books every day or as needed.
Spellings (15 minutes per week)
Spellings for this week are Challenge words. These are set in Ed shed.
Your username and password for Ed Shed is at the beginning of your reading records.
If you wish to complete the spellings on paper or through offline games, I will attach a copy of the spellings at the bottom of the webpage each week.
Maths:
Complete the game Hit the Button - Quick fire maths practise for 6-11 year olds - Topmarks complete questions up to 10 and up to 20.

We enjoyed reading Elmer by David McKee, the story of a colourful patchwork elephant who learns that being different is something to celebrate! The children explored the themes of individuality, kindness and friendship, discussing what makes each of us special. We shared our thoughts about Elmer’s adventures and reflected on the importance of being proud of who we are.

This week in DT, we have been busy making sandwiches! We’ve been learning about different ingredients, practising our food preparation skills and creating our own tasty sandwich combinations. It has been a fun and delicious week of learning!
