FoLS
Friends of Langrish School, aka FoLS
Who are we?
We are the 2025/26 FoLS Committee! We have volunteered our time to raise money for the school and create a calendar of events for the children & their families.
Meet the team
Chair: Samantha Dyer-French

Members: Emily Barrett, Debs Pye, Annika Driver, Chloe Swift, Charlotte Burdock & Emily Donnelly
Who are we and what are we working towards?
We all want our kids to have the best resources possible, as well as a stimulating environment to learn in. But it’s not just about learning; we want to ensure the children have lifelong memories of social activities and events that they will look back on fondly. It’s also a fantastic opportunity for the adults to socialise and have a real, positive impact on the school.
In the last academic year (2024/25), FoLS contributed to the Christmas Pantomime, coach travel for numerous trips and the excellent Rock Kidz workshop.
This year, we'd like to continue to fund the coaches, but also help with the cost of the refurbishment of the Yr R playground, an all-weather track around the field and new library resources. We're going to have a target we want to work towards and we'll update you on our progress in the Nutshell newsletters.
Want to help?
If you’d like to volunteer to help with any of the events, we have a volunteers' Whatsapp group that we would love to have you join; please talk to your class rep or one of us. You can also email us at: folslangrishschool@gmail.com.
As well as time & efforts, we also need funds and all donations are so, so appreciated.
We are a charity, so this allows for any limited company to pay less corporate tax if they donate to us. If you work for a limited company, we would be so grateful if you could highlight us as a charity to support.
Our charity name is: Friends of Langrish School and our Charity number is: 1132525
Our bank details are: Friends of Langrish School Sort Code: 30-98-97 Account Number: 55078863
You can also donate directly using the following QR code or the following link:

Any donations to the school can be kept anonymous but please could you email folslangrishschool@gmail.com or inform someone on the committee so we can keep track and make sure we say a huge THANK-YOU.
As well as all of this, in the corner of the car park we have a textile recycling bin; every time it gets emptied, the school gets money for it so please send your old clothes our way!
Events to look forward to this year
We're hoping to build on the success of last year, but we also want to give you the events you know and love, so, we're going to continue to have:
• Quiz nights
• Halloween discos
• Bake sales
• Wreath-making workshop
• Christmas cards
• Tea towels
• Summer fayre
• Ice-cream sales
But we also want to introduce:
• Family tea & cake afternoons
• A sponsored colour run
• An extension to the Christmas Fayre to include an outdoor grotto with stalls for the grown-ups to enjoy
• Fundraising football match for the whole extended family, with a BBQ and drinks
• A festival-style outdoor disco
• Bake sales by house colour (so you only have to bake once!
The more events you can support, the more we can provide for the school!
If you have any ideas, suggestions or feedback, we'd love to hear from you. This is a team effort and we want to run activities that everyone can enjoy.
Thank you, and see you at the next event!
