All pupils are expected to wear school uniform.  This helps the pupils acquire a sense of identity and in so doing improves the school ethos and supports school discipline.  All clothes worn or brought to school should be clearly marked with the pupil’s name.

    Jewellery

With the exception of watches, no jewellery is to be worn in school by pupils.  Those with pierced ears may wear discreet gold or silver stud earrings.  If these are worn, pupils must remove them for PE and swimming lessons.  Those unable to do this should not wear them on PE or swimming days.

In line with Hampshire policy, in exceptional circumstances, newly pierced ears may be covered with micropore tape for the duration of a P.E. lesson. This tape must be applied by parents or the child themselves. If at any time, the tape becomes loose and the back stud visible, the pupil will immediately take on the role of officiating or leading coaching in that particular lesson to ensure their own safety and that of all other pupils.

This exception to wearing jewellery for P.E. will only be allowed for the first four weeks of newly pierced ears.
